Welcome to TechTown! By accessing or using our website (“Site”) and services, you (“You” or “User”) agree to comply with these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our Site.

1. Eligibility & Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or 13 or older with parental consent, to use TechTown.
  • To access certain features (e.g., courses, community), you must register with accurate personal information.
  • Keep your account credentials secure; you’re responsible for all activity under your account.

2. Use of the Site & Services

  • TechTown grants you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Do not:
    • Post infringing, defamatory, violent, unlawful, or harmful content.
    • Install viruses or malicious code.
    • Scrape, decompile, or exploit the Site.
    • Interfere with security features or use bots when not authorized.
  • Violations may lead to account suspension or termination.

3. User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., comments, forum posts).
  • By posting, you grant TechTown a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use such content.
  • You represent that your content doesn’t infringe on third-party rights or violate laws.

4. Third‑Party Integrations

  • These services have their own terms and privacy controls — you agree to comply with them when using these features.

5. Payments & Refunds

  • Paid courses or subscriptions are subject to a separate Refund Policy (link to refund page).
  • If you encounter issues accessing content after payment, contact support for resolution.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All TechTown content — including text, videos, branding, code, and design — is owned by TechTown or its licensors.
  • You may access and view content for personal use only; commercial reuse requires our written permission.
  • Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

7. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate Services or your account without notice for violations or legal requirements.
  • Certain provisions (like liability limitations and intellectual property rights) survive termination.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • TechTown provides services “as is” without warranties of accuracy, fitness, or non-infringement.
  • We do not guarantee you’ll gain specific skills, employment, or outcomes.
  • Our liability is limited to INR ₹1,000 or the amount you paid, whichever is lesser. Notwithstanding, some jurisdictions may not allow such limitations.

9. Indemnification

  • You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold TechTown harmless from any claims arising from your violation of these Terms or your content.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
  • Disputes shall be resolved via binding arbitration in Jaipur, under the Rules of the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. This excludes small claims that can be pursued in court.

11. Modifications to Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
